Indoor Pool Ratios

Non-swimmers must be accompanied in the water at a ratio of 1 adult swimmer to 2 non-swimmers. 

All children under the age of 4 must be supervised by a dedicated responsible adult in the water at a ratio of 1 adult to 1 child no matter their swimming ability.

All children between 4 – 8 years, regardless of swimming ability, must be supervised by a responsible adult in the water at a ratio of 1 adult to 2 children and children between 9 and 13 years must be accompanied by a responsible adult at a ratio of 1 adult to 5 children.  We reserve the right to ask older children to do a swim test if unaccompanied in the water by an adult and to impose supervising arrangements for any bathers at the Manager’s discretion.

Carer Access to the Oasis
We’re pleased to offer complimentary access to the Oasis for one adult carer accompanying a paying cared‑for guest.
Please note:

The complimentary carer access is limited to one adult per cared‑for guest.
The carer is not included in the bather supervision ratio for any wider group.
To provide the complimentary access, we will need to see proof of the carer’s status for the cared‑for guest on arrival.

Thank you for your understanding – this helps us keep the Oasis safe and enjoyable for everyone.

Weight and Height Restrictions

• For safety reasons use of the flumes is restricted to competent swimmers and those over 1.2 metres in height, there are also weight restrictions.
• Use of the River Rapid Ride is restricted to competent swimmers and those over 1.2 metres in height.
• On the blue rubber ring, super flume, there are weight restrictions for safety reasons. Maximum weight is 15 stone and 7lb, or 100kg.

• Sunflower Scheme Members – all staff aware of the Sunflower Scheme and how to assist those with hidden disabilities.
• Queuing assistance.
• Staff Assistance.
• Quiet Hours, with no music each Wednesday morning session.
• Sessions available to carers and person/s with free carer entry.
• Familiarization visits, available (please email or call prior to arrangement, contact details below).

For Guests with Mobility Impairment

• From the main entrance to the swimming pool changing area, there is level access. There is a permanent ramp. The route is 1500mm wide, or more.
• The door is 1500mm wide.
• There is a wide changing cubicle, for wheelchair users.
• From changing area to the swimming pool, there is level access. There is a permanent ramp. The route is 1000mm wide, or more.
• The swimming pool has wide level access throughout. The disabled changing area has a changing table, handrails and an emergency button. The communal shower area is wide and flat. Aside from the main entrance way, there are no doors inside the pool. There is also a double door entrance into the pool directly from the outside if needed. To access the pool, there is a ramp into the water.
